Challenge Samarkand RUN COURSE

The Challenge Samarkand run course is a breathtaking route around the picturesque Rowing Canal, where athletes cover the distance while taking in the magnificent views of Silk Road Samarkand. Their path winds past modern hotels, well-manicured alleys, and lush green spaces, leading them into the “Eternal City” – a unique enclave that immerses them in the spirit of antiquity. Surrounded by fortress walls, this historic gem preserves the essence of the Great Silk Road, offering athletes a glimpse into the rich cultural heritage of ancient Asia.

The course presents its own challenges: during the first half of the run, athletes push against a headwind, while in the second half, the breeze shifts to gently propel them forward. Aid stations are strategically placed along the route to help participants replenish their energy.

A special moment awaits in the Eternal City, where musicians playing the karnay and surnay, traditional Uzbek instruments, welcome the runners. The rhythmic melodies create a unique atmosphere, lifting their spirits and fueling their motivation.

The final stretch leads onto the red carpet, guiding athletes through the Challenge Samarkand finish arch. Here, each competitor takes their last stride, overcoming their limits and becoming part of the race’s history.
