Challenge Samarkand is not just about triathlon – it’s also about running! As part of the event, there will be a race exclusively for women: Women’s Run.
This is a great opportunity to soak in the atmosphere, feel the energy and motivation, run alongside like-minded women leading a healthy lifestyle, and form new friendships while striving toward your goals together!

Challenge Samarkand has a special tradition.

At the finish line of Women’s Run, every participant receives not only a finisher’s medal but also a flower—a small yet meaningful gesture of respect and support. It is handed out by a member of the judging or organizing team. This is how the entire male staff of Challenge Samarkand congratulates the athletes on their finish and shares the joy of the moment!

Medals

The Women’s Run medals carry different meanings and symbolism each year. The 2023 medal represented the unity of women, inclusivity, and the accessibility of sports for everyone, regardless of age, nationality, or faith.

The 2024 medal features Nodira, an Uzbek poet and literary classic. In addition to her literary contributions, she built madrasahs and various public buildings, making a significant impact on culture and serving as a symbol of strength and resilience through the ages.

The Women’s Run will cover a 5 km distance.

Women aged 18 and older are eligible to participate.
