Challenge Samarkand 2025

On August 23-24, one of the world’s oldest cities — Samarkand — will host a unique amateur triathlon race: Challenge Samarkand!

The race will take place at the newest tourist complex, Silk Road Samarkand, and its highlight will be the cycling course for the Middle Distance, which will pass through the very heart of the historic city, immersing participants in a journey through time while showcasing Samarkand’s stunning landmarks.

The Silk Road Samarkand complex is a tourist hub located around the rowing canal. The name “Silk Road” was chosen to honor Samarkand’s historical significance as a key point on the Great Silk Road, connecting East and West as a center of trade, culture, and prosperity.
