VOLUNTEERS OF CHALLENGE SAMARKAND

The People Who Make the Race Possible

Being a volunteer at Challenge Samarkand isn’t just about helping out — it’s about truly being part of the event. They arrive earlier than anyone and are the last to leave. Not a single stage of the race can begin without them. Volunteers welcome participants, assist at aid stations, direct traffic, guide spectators, and ensure safety. They keep everything running smoothly — often behind the scenes, but always essential.

Each volunteer is part of a large, well-coordinated team. They know the course, respond quickly when needed, and understand the power of a simple encouraging smile at the right moment. They work at the start, finish, transition areas, along the course, in the race office, and at registration — everywhere support and structure are needed.

Challenge Samarkand is not just an international competition; it’s an event infused with heart and hospitality. Volunteers make it warm, welcoming, and human. Thanks to them, athletes from around the world feel like honored guests. Often, a volunteer is the first smile an athlete sees when arriving in Samarkand.

Among our volunteers are students and schoolchildren, athletes, teachers, IT specialists, business owners — people of all backgrounds and ages. What unites them is the desire to be part of something meaningful, to be helpful, to work as a team, and to experience the spirit of sport from the inside.

Challenge Samarkand is proud of its volunteers. We are grateful for their dedication, responsibility, and the positive energy they bring. They are what makes the race truly special.
